EDITOR: This letter is in response to a recent letter to the editor by Donna Schrameyer, which made the case that "Legal rights must belong to all."

First of all, we have legal rights according to man's ways, and then we have a moral obligation according to God's ways. The two of them don't mix. God says that the ways of man lead to death, and he is not talking about physical death.

Shouldn't legal rights belong to the unborn child, also? Yes, they should. God says that we all belong to him.

Schrameyer writes that she goes to church for what it stands for. God says that we should be going to church for what God stands for. Going to church does not make anybody a Christian. A Christian is a follower of Jesus, says God's word, just for starters.

The Bible is not out of date, says God, and we all need to read it and understand it and then live it.
