Authorities are reminding residents to lock their vehicle doors after a rash of break-ins have been reported in the Howard, Suamico and Pulaski areas.

The thefts and break-ins to unlocked vehicles occurred in the past week during the overnight hours, the Brown County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday. The vehicles were parked at residences and on one occasion a vehicle window was broken and a wallet was stolen that was visible on the front seat.

Officers said residents should leave vehicles in a garage, if possible, and keep their windows rolled up. Motorists also should make sure valuables can not be seen in their vehicles.

Authorities ask that anyone with information about these cases to call the sheriff's department at (920) 448-4230. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward by calling CrimeStoppers at (920) 432-7867 or by text messaging GBTIP with a tip to 274637.
