Members of the Manitowoc Board of Education elected Linda Gratz as board president for the coming year when they held their organizational meeting at noon Tuesday. The vote was unanimous with Karen Rohrer and Catherine Shallue absent. Gratz has been on the board for one year.

The only other nomination for president was for longtime board member Lee Braunel, but he declined. Braunel was elected vice president and clerk, and new board member Keith Shaw was elected treasurer. Both of those votes also were unanimous by the five board members present.
