10 YEARS AGO: Dave Valle, owner of Spring Green Floral, Marshfield, was pictured working on a hanging flower basket Tuesday. Valle received Rotary's "Service Above Self" award for his dedication to the community.

The Marshfield Optimist Club is sponsoring a children's lip-sync contest on June 7 during Dairyfest.

50 YEARS AGO: Marshfield Senior High opened its 1963 outdoor track. The Tigers slammed three events on its way to an 81-37 win over Medford's Red Raiders.

75 YEARS AGO: A.H. Roffers, manager of the Farmers Cooperative Produce Company, has announced the opening of the cooperative's new bulk and retail oil plant. The company has been a Marshfield business now in its 26th year.
