The School District of Auburndale is offering its annual screening for children.

The screening is held each year to identify specific developmental needs in children. Children will meet with a team of professionals who will help to identify age-appropriate developmental levels in the areas of fine and gross motor, speech and language, social and school readiness skills.

Child Development Day will be 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in the Auburndale Elementary School. To be eligible, your child's birthday must fall between Sept. 1, 2008, and May 1, 2010.

Representatives from local agencies will be available for information. Your child will be encouraged to participate in play activities.

To schedule an appointment for the screening, or find out more information, call Sue Richardson at the Auburndale Elementary School at 715-652-2812 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
