Former mayor Ryan pleads not guilty to OWI charges in Kiel

Former Sheboygan mayor Bob Ryan pleaded not guilty in Kiel Municipal Court today following his March drunken-driving arrest, where he was allegedly driving with a blood alcohol content that was more than three times the legal limit.

Ryan, 49, entered the plea before Municipal Court Judge Dean Dietrich. Ryan is now scheduled for a pre-trial hearing Tuesday, May 14, in Kiel.

The case has been re-assigned to an unknown municipal court as Dietrich, who is a partner at the Sheboygan law firm Darrow & Dietrich - which has represented Ryan in the past - recused himself from the case. The city of Kiel ...
