Chamber announces small business of the year winners

An information technology firm, a drug store and a child-mentoring organization were named Tuesday as the 2013 Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce small businesses of the year.

RMM Solutions won in the business-to-business category, Young's Drug Store in the business-to-consumer category, and the Boys & Girls Club of the Wausau Area in the charitable nonprofit category.

The 17 finalists were nominated by local business leaders and completed lengthy applications that were judged on company story, business growth, community involvement and innovative efforts. ...
