The Wausau man whose wife told police he already was married when the couple wed has been ordered to stand trial on bigamy charges.

Timothy B. Swinea, 45, on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to felony charges of bigamy and bail jumping and on misdemeanor charges of making a false statement on a marriage license. Swinea, who faces more than nine years in prison if convicted of all of the charges, remains in Marathon County Jail on a probation hold.

The man's wife, a 48-year-old Weston woman who is not being named because she is the victim of a crime, told a Daily Herald Media reporter Tuesday she is seeking ...
