Companies get up to speed on health-care reform costs

More than 100 business leaders and professionals attended a forum Wednesday to weigh the costs of a federal health reform law provision set to take effect next year.

A portion of the Affordable Care Act, known by critics as Obamacare, will require businesses to offer a certain level of health insurance to all employees by 2014. Companies that don't comply face sizable tax fees. Small businesses with fewer than 50 full-time employees are exempt.
