21-pound brown tops Baileys tournament

There are still a lot of ice sheets floating and blowing around Green Bay, making for some potentially hazardous boating if the wind switches. Most boaters have been sticking to the rivers, river mouths and harbors, focusing on walleyes and brown trout.

A 21.22-pounder caught by Jason Alger was the heaviest fish in the 25th annual Baileys Harbor Brown Trout Tournament last weekend. Nineteen trout larger than 10 pounds were weighed in a wind-plagued tournament, and ice kept most anglers from fishing many of the bayside harbors. ...
