Oshkosh Corp. sees growth in construction sector

As defense spending declines, Oshkosh Corp. is looking at an uptick in the construction sector and hopes that growth will lead to future municipal purchases, the company's CEO said.

Charles Szews spoke about the company's culture at a St. Norbert College CEO Breakfast in De Pere on Wednesday.

"Much of our business is tied to construction... and housing, and that's all coming back very strongly," he said after the presentation. "Fifty percent of all concrete in America is tied to housing, and that's coming back. We're seeing orders pick up in our concrete-mixer business." ...
