Maintaining and improving, that's the primary goal of the West De Pere High School track and field team this season.

For the Phantoms boys squad, it's about trying to remain one of the top teams in the area. West De Pere has won the Bay Conference title the last three seasons and advanced a high number of athletes to the WIAA Division 1 state meet last year.

"We hope to compete with (Seymour) as we attempt to win a fourth consecutive Bay title," Phantoms fifth-year head coach Chad Federman said about the boys. ...
