Man charged in cold case murder enters a not guilty plea

A man accused of murdering a 19-year-old from Green Bay in 1998 entered a not guilty plea Wednesday in Oconto County Circuit Court.

A trial for Peter Hanson is scheduled to start Dec. 3 before Judge Michael T. Judge. Hanson, 52, of Oconto Falls, is charged with being party to first degree intentional homicide in connection with the death of Chad McLean.

McLean was last seen on Feb. 22, 1998. His body was found a month later in about 3 feet of water near a bridge on Sandalwood Road near Abrams. ...
