It was a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning for the Girl Scout Blue Ribbon Walk in recognition of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month.

The blue ribbon is meant as a positive symbol, an international sign of child abuse prevention.

The Blue Ribbon Campaign began in 1989 as a tribute by a Virginia grandmother whose grandson died from abuse. The campaign is a memorial to children touched by abuse. ...
