A driver who crashed a car Wednesday night and left it in the 100 block of Water Street turned himself in to police Thursday.

Police were looking for the driver after officers found a damaged, unoccupied red Honda with blue rims around 8 p.m. Wednesday. Initial reports said two cars were racing. The damaged car sheared off a light pole and hit a dumpster. The other car also left the scene.

The driver was not seriously injured and is cooperating with the investigation, said Menasha Police Chief Timothy Styka.
