Add one local city to the list of those involved with National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Saturday.

De Pere will join seven other Brown County communities in the event, which is designed to encourage proper disposal and prevent misuse.

The De Pere event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police station on the first floor of City Hall, 335 S. Broadway.

Residents can dispose of unwanted or unused prescription drugs at: Howard Village Hall, 2456 Glendale Ave., Howard; Suamico Municipal Services Center, 12781 Velp Ave., Suamico; Allouez Village Hall, 1900 Libal St., Allouez; Bellevue Village Hall, 3100 Eaton Road, Bellevue; Denmark Village Hall, 118 E. Main St., Denmark; Wrightstown Police Department; 352 High St., Wrightstown; and the Pulaski Police Department, 421 S. St. Augustine St., Pulaski.

In September 2012, the Brown County Sheriff's Department and surrounding agencies collected more than 600 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs.
