What's the fun of doing back-to-back interviews with buddies Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy, if you can't ask each to reveal something about the other that fans would be surprised to find out, right?

Bill was happy to oblige. "I would tell you this, that Larry is way more intelligent than he puts on. Larry's a very smart man.''

Then he adds: "I'm kind of scared to hear what he'll say about me ...''

But with Bill paying Larry such a compliment, he wouldn't dare say something embarrassing, would he?

"Oh, it's Larry. He could!'' Bill says, and then laughs.

When Larry calls the next day, he first wants to know what Bill said about him. He pauses a moment and tries to think of something.

"Geez ... That nobody would know? Man ... He said such nice things about me I don't know what to say. ... Bill is just like you think he is. He's just like his act. A super good guy. He's a great golfer. I have no complaints about Bill at all.''

He pauses again and thinks some more, determined to come up with something.

"Bill used to be a woman!'' (Laughs.) "He had a sex change in 1979, and he doesn't tell anybody that.''
