UWGB coach creates healthly environment

I find the accusations of verbal and emotional abuse by Brian Wardle towards his players to be totally contrary to what I have known and observed of coach Wardle. I have attended many practices and games of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay the past several years and not once did I see anything close to abusive behavior.

I have authored a book "Know Yourself as a Coach," of which much is about coaching and creating a healthy environment. Wardle has done that at UWGB. I attend basketball practices at multiple Division I schools every year and can say I am impressed with the respect shown by Wardle toward players at UWGB.

Whatever the motivations of the parents who wrote letters about Wardle are, I can say they are misplaced. Whatever their agenda and reasons are I feel it has been unfair to Wardle. I hope the investigation is thorough and fair, and if so, I can certain Wardle will be totally cleared of these false accusations.
