10 YEARS AGO: The eighth annual Home Show, sponsored by the Central Wisconsin Home Builders Association, broke records for number of booths and number of attendees at the event held earlier this month in Marshfield High School. The show had 78 exhibitor booths and more than 1,300 people attended.
Marshfield Area Catholic Schools held a kindergarten through grade 12 Science Exposition recently. It was held in the cafeteria and gym at Our Lady of Peace Intermediate School.
25 YEARS AGO: The Columbus High School Band will join the Marshfield Parochial Schools Band in a spring concert. The performance will be in the Columbus gymnasium.
50 YEARS AGO: About 75 Central Wisconsin attorneys and insurance adjusters attended the fourth annual legal-medical seminar held at the Marshfield Clinic library. Guest speaker was Dr. Herman Wirka, Madison.
75 YEARS AGO: Emil Stasek, formerly of Owen, has bought the Nasonville Cooperative Cheese and Butter company's factory on Highway 10. Stasek, since 1933, has owned and operated Wood County's first cheese factory, established in 1885.
