Defense strategies emerge in Weston homicide case

Defense attorneys are mounting a two-pronged attack on charges filed against a Minnesota man accused of killing his Weston girlfriend.

Defense attorneys are suggesting that Richi Vue, 21, acted in self-defense in October when he shot Lee Xiong, 20, to death in a Weston apartment. Vue faces first-degree intentional homicide charges in connection with the death. Defense attorneys also allege Vue did not understand the Miranda warning he was read when he signed a waiver surrendering his right to remain silent.
