Bookworms program receives grant

The Wood County Wisconsin Bookworms program was awarded a grant of $1,406 from the Alliant Energy Foundation.

This grant will make it possible to provide more books to the children of Wood County. By fostering a love of reading in the young, organizers hope to encourage a lifetime commitment to learning and to becoming productive citizens.

Wisconsin Bookworms is a collaboration and outreach effort of the Wisconsin Association for Home & Community Education, University of Wisconsin Extension Family Living Program and Wisconsin Public Television. It is designed to provide free books and ...
