Child prodigy Ethan Bortnick will perform at 7 p.m. July 11 at the Weidner Center for a concert being recorded for his PBS special.

The 12-year-old pianist, composer and singer has performed across the globe and was recently certified by Guinness World Records as the youngest solo musician to headline his own tour. In 2011, he made history as the youngest act to headline a show in Las Vegas. The year prior, he became the youngest musician to create and host his own PBS concert special.

Bortnick's Weidner concert is for the Kress/Mattson Parkinson's Fundraiser. Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. today for $100-$40, plus fees, at Ticket Star outlets, (800) 895-0071 and www.weidnercenter.com.
