Leads Tigers to 2nd place after first leg

WISCONSIN RAPIDS A mere stroke is all that separated Kyle Hoffman and Trevor Thomas during the first leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference golf schedule.

Hoffman shot a 78 (37-41) to earn medalist honors Friday afternoon at The Ridges Golf Course to lead Marshfield to a second place finish in the team standings, while defending team champion Stevens Point Area Senior High was paces by Thomas who was one behind with a 79.
