Ted Thompson spoke to the media following the conclusion of the second day of the NFL Draft on Friday. Here are some highlights from that interview:
*Packers and fans have been lucky to have Aaron Rodgers to do the job he has done following the legend Brett Favre.
*Really glad Rodgers contract worked out. Aaron very fine QB and leader.
*it's just numbers when trading with 49ers. You're trusting your own scouting department.
*Function of board when trading either up or down.
*If you feel good about trading down and being comfortable you will get players later, so what if you're on short end of value chart?
*Felt good about taking Lacy, had several players we felt good about when trading down in Round 2.
*Lacy is big, powerful, he's got a great lateral cut, spin move, played at high level, good kid.
*We felt like board held together really good. Came in hoping to add some picks.
*It just happenstance the way itís worked out. When I was in Seattle we drafted Shaun Alexander late in the first round.
