Tracey Bauer hoped to raise $600 during a three-day rummage sale she organized for a Stratford baby battling cancer.

Bauer didn't just meet her goal; she surpassed it. In a matter of hours, Bauer raised more than $1,300 for the Kurtzweil family. At the end of the three-day rummage sale, she had $4,000 for the family, and she hopes to raise just as much at the next sale in May.

Treyden Kurtzweil, 10 months, has been hospitalized since he was 2 months old in a battle against a rare form of leukemia that affects his bone marrow cells. ...
