Designs for the village's redevelopment master plans have won a national award from the American Planning Association.

The village of Rothschild, along with MSA Professional Services, won the Vernon Deines Memorial Award for an Outstanding Small Town and Rural Plan from the Small Town and Rural Planning Division of the APA.

The award was presented to officials from the village and MSA at an APA national conference in Chicago. The plaque will hang at Rothschild Village Hall.

The designs illustrate 30-year redevelopment plans for the Pavilion Park and Pavilion Marketplace - formerly Shopko Plaza - areas of the village.
