WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Falling behind isn't the best way to try to win a soccer game.

That was a lesson the D.C. Everest girls soccer team learned from last week's one-goal loss to Stevens Point Area Senior High.

So when the Evergreens took to Washington Field on April 23, it was with a sense of urgency that produced a goal less than three minutes into the game as they went on to blank Rapids 2-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference matchup. ...
