After a five-year hiatus, a beloved community event might return to Wisconsin Rapids this summer.

The Wisconsin Rapids City Council will consider a recommendation next month from the city Park and Recreation Commission to allow A&P Enterprise Shows to hold a carnival June 20 to 23 at Witter Field as part of Cranberry Blossom Fest. The nine-member panel unanimously supported the request Wednesday, Chairman Kelly Rosekrans said.
