Inspiration speaker and author Tasha Schuh is scheduled to appear at 3 p.m. Sunday at an event hosted by Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church, 11836 Highway 42, Ellison Bay. Her presentation is titled "Little is Huge."

A talented high school student who had appeared as the lead in her school's musical production of "Grease," 16-year-old Schuh was rehearsing for "The Wizard of Oz" in November 1997 when she stepped backward and fell 16 feet through a trap door, breaking her neck and sustaining other injuries that took away her ability to walk.

Now the reigning Ms. Wheelchair USA and winner of the 2012 National Rehabilitation Champion Award, Schuh is the author of a new book, "My Last Step Backward."

The church will host an open house beginning at 2:30 p.m. Child care will be available for toddlers and preschool children during the talk. Younger elementary-age children are welcome to enjoy a Veggie Tales movie. For more information, call (920) 854-2988.
