Fifteen Southern Door FFA members attended the regional FFA Career Development Events hosted by Fox Valley Technical College on April 6 in Appleton. FFA members from around the Fox Valley area competed in 13 different agricultural contests.

Southern Door students competed in Dairy Cattle Evaluation, Dairy Products, Floriculture, Livestock Evaluation, Veterinary Science and Wildlife.

Southern Door senior Bridget Vandertie placed fifth out of 50 students in the Veterinary Science CDE, and the Wildlife team consisting of Jacob Babler, Mason LeMere, Zach Maurer and Mitchell Overbeck placed fifth out of the 26 teams.

The Wildlife team qualified for the State FFA CDE contests and competed Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
