Golf: Sturgeon Bay dominates conference opener

Sturgeon Bay cruised to a 19-stroke victory Thursday in the first Packerland Conference meet of the high school golf season.

The Clippers' top four golfers all shot in the 40s and combined for a team score of 177 at Idlewild Golf Course in Nasewaupee. Sevastopol placed second at 196, followed by Gibraltar, 200; Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran, 211; Oconto, 219; and Southern Door, 286.
