Before starting A Slice of Heaven in 2009, Ruth Elderbrook made a name for herself by baking decadent desserts for family members, friends and colleagues.

Since then, she has built a positive reputation for the catering business by remaining involved in fundraisers for nonprofit organizations and serving catering customers from setup to cleanup.

Elderbrook has donated desserts and raffle prizes for fundraisers, including the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County University Foundation's Food for Thought event, the Personal Development Center's Sheltering Hearts ...
