Thanks from the Mayor

Hello Waupun,

It's time for me to thank out-going committee members who have given up some of their free time to serve on City committee's and commission boards. Many residents don't know that beside our monthly City Council and Committee of the Whole meetings, there are another 15 committee's and boards as well as sub-committee's that meet that give input and direction to the City Council. Many residents in our community give generously of their time and have a voice on the direction of those committee's.

I would like to thank Amy Pike, Dylan Weber, Jerry Medema, Skip Baumhardt and Joel Sterk for the years that they have all given to different committee's. A special thank you to Jerry Medema who has given more that 30 years to the City of Waupun, serving on the Recreation Board as well as several years on the Planning Commission. Thank you so much to all of these volunteers for their commitment to our community!

I would like to welcome Rich Matravers who has accepted a seat on the Business Improvement District (BID), Jan Sullivan who will now be a member of the Library Board, and Abby Buwalda who will be serving on the Recreation Board. The City Council has approved my appointment of these volunteers and they will be starting with our May meetings. I am grateful to all of you for giving freely of your time.

Until next week...

Mayor Jodi
