Jacobson, Palkovich starting at Salvation Army

The Salvation Army announces that it has hired, Ron Jacobson, of North Fond du Lac, as its Social Services Director and Debbie Palkovich, of Fond du Lac, as its new Administrative Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator.

As the Social Services Director for The Salvation Army, Mr. Jacobson will be responsible for community services, family assistance and overseeing Salvation Army programs including its food pantry, the Christmas Campaign/Distribution, Coats for Kids, participation in the community wide Back to School effort and the Brown Bag Lunch summer feeding program. Jacobson has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from UW Wisconsin, Oshkosh in Spanish and a Master's Degree in Education Administration from Appalachian State College in North Carolina. He has previously worked for Carol College, The Masters Brewers Association of America, in Youth Ministry at Holy Family Parish, the Solutions Center, Even Start Family Literacy in Sheboygan and Charter Communications. Jacobson says he is delighted to be working with The Salvation Army. "I enjoy working in Servant Leadership positions, and doing something that I feel is worthwhile. My heart is in this position - I have a passion for extending a hand to help to those who are in need," he says.

Debbie Palkovich, new Administrative Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator for The Salvation Army of Fond du Lac holds a degree as an Administrative Professional from Moraine Park Technical College. She comes to The Salvation Army having worked previously with Mercury Marine, Tony's Marine Covers & Awnings LLC, and J.F.Ahern. "I really appreciate the opportunity to work with the community using my administrative skills and organizing volunteers. Working with The Salvation Army, I know I can make a difference in the lives of the people of Fond du Lac," comments Debbie says.

Lt. Steven Wilson of the Fond du Lac Salvation Army remarks, "We are so pleased to have Ron and Debbie as part of our staff. These professionals are a terrific match for the skills we need and the people we serve."
