10 YEARS AGO: Immanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield, will break ground for a 600,000 construction project following its 10:30 a.m. service Sunday. The project planning began in the mid-1990s.

The Rozellville Rockets 4-H Club met recently at Pioneer Bank. The pledges were led by Aislinn Koehler.

25 YEARS AGO: Virginia Narlock recently was named Volunteer of the Year for the North Wood County Chapter of the American Red Cross. She has been a member of the chapter's board of directors since 1977.

50 YEARS AGO: Dick Wilson wound up the major bowling league season in blazing style. He hit a sizzling 705 series, his third and the third 700 series at Hub City Alleys this season.

75 YEARS AGO: Four illegal tavern operators were charged with the sale of malt beverages without having retail licenses. The four were arraigned before judge E.W. Crosby in circuit court.
