Green Bay Packers defensive line coach Mike Trgovac spoke to the media after the selection of Mississippi State's Josh Boyd and UCLA's Datone Jones. Here are some highlights:

♦ With the way offensive tackles grab you, itís a little bit easier to keep guys length off of you. It helps you. Itís not always a determining factor if a guy can play, but it does help.

♦ Noticed Boyd last year when we were doing Fletcher Cox. He took off. Heís obviously a big man and got some explosion to him. We think he has some versatility to him as well. Particularly in this defense thereís a lot of projections.

♦ Heís a 6-2Ĺ guy. Probably the best thing he did instead was playing the three-technique and one-technique. Thatís probably his forte.

♦ Jonesí definitely strong enough. Heís only going to get bigger. He gives us a lot of versatility. We have a lot of big guys. He was definitely not a guy who canít sit in there and take on a double-team. Thatís something heíll work at and get better at.

♦ I see Jones fitting in everywhere. The one thing he did. My first exposure was him fitting in before the combine. I graded him before we went down to the combine.

♦ (Ryan) Pickett in the five years Iíve been here, this is the lightest heís come in. B.J. (Raji) came in right in where he left off.
