The city of Wausau wants to gather opinions from residents to determine what they think about their neighborhoods in a survey that could help shape next year's budget.

Officials will use the surveys to help guide them on how to fight blighted properties in the area, Wausau Finance Director Maryanne Groat said.

The survey, which will identify neighborhoods based on the nearest elementary school, will ask residents to detail what they think about the condition of homes on their block and what property violations they see most frequently in the area. City staff members, including police ...
