Central Wisconsin potato planting season delayed by cool weather

Mike Finnessy was candid Friday when asked where Okray Family Farms stands in the potato-growing season.

Finnessy said the company is about two weeks behind in planting. He said the company typically plants more than 8,000 acres a year with various produce, and by this time in a typical year, they already would have planted about 800 to 900 acres. Instead, workers were beginning to plant fields Friday and will have about a dozen workers trying to catch up.
