LETTER: Many made Bethany Benefit a big success

On April 16, 2013 the community of Waupun honored Bethany Christian Services by hosting the 23rd Annual Bethany Benefit Banquet at Central Wisconsin Christian School.

A total of 139 people attended this event to help raise over $12,100 to support your local Bethany office in Fond du Lac. The proceeds support Bethany's programs and services, free birthparent counseling and assistance, and the expansion of pre- and post- adoption services to educate families in Wisconsin throughout their lifelong adoption journey. We offer cultural play shops, educational workshops and webinars, and new resources in our multi-cultural libraries.

Amy Kemink and her daughter, Brailyn, provided the entertainment. Roy and Kari Smalley, a Bethany adoptive family, shared their heartfelt story. The Michael Strand family, along with their five adopted children, greeted and welcomed the guests. Reegan Aylesworth, Marissa Jansma and Isabella Abel served the punch.

We are honored by the generosity of the local community's devotion to this event. A special thank you goes out to Cara Aylesworth and her banquet committee for all their hard work.

Bethany has many thanks to extend, especially the Waupun and Fond du Lac businesses who contributed in making this event a success, the Parents in Action committee for the scrumptious meal and Central Wisconsin Christian Schools for opening devotions and use of facilities.

With your support, we promise to continue serving children and families with the highest levels of integrity, diligence and biblically based models of social services. We value your partnership and together we'll work toward our common goal where "every child has a loving family."
