Residential chemical collection sets off Appleton hazmat call

BUCHANAN - A duplex resident came across his roommate's full-blown chemical collection Sunday, prompting a visit from Appleton's hazardous materials team.

Ethan Kroll, Appleton Fire Department battalion chief, said they were called to a duplex in Buchanan and found a personal collection of samples from elements on the periodic table.
