When it comes to gardening, most people can find an endless supply of advice from family, friends, neighbors, experts and people trying to sell the latest and greatest products.

Members of Wood County Master Gardeners gathered at Mid-State Technical College's Wisconsin Rapids campus Saturday to hear Jeff Gillman, who has a doctorate in horticulture and is an associate professor at the University of Minnesota-St. Paul campus, separate gardening facts from fiction.
