Green Bay building permit activity was driven up in March by construction of a new single-family home on Nicolet Drive.

The home planned at 3543 Nicolet Drive is valued at $500,000 and constitutes the largest project permitted in March.

City records show that the home is being built for Mark and Cathy Ring.

According to city building permit data, builders during the month of March took out a total of 152 projects for a combined estimated $3.5 million in construction activity.

That compares with 154 permits issued during the same month a year earlier for a combined $2.6 million in construction.
