The trial for a 61-year-old Big Flats man charged with killing his mother began Monday with testimony from the woman who notified authorities that the victim had gone missing.

Jamie A. Wolms of Hancock told jurors she had known the 79-year-old Marcella E. Clark for more than four years and often would wave to Clark while driving past her home in Big Flats. Wolms told jurors that she began to worry in July 2010 when Clark was nowhere to be seen.

Larry W. Clark has since been charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the 2010 shooting death of his mother, Marcella. His attorney told jurors ...
