? Army National Guard Pfc. Logan Bauer has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

Bauer is the son of Seth Bauer of Birchwood and Carolyn Desnoyer of Mosinee. He is a 2012 graduate of Wausau East High School.

? Army Pvt. Chaise Leszczynski has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

Leszczynski is a 2011 graduate of Wausau West High School.

? Navy Seaman Recruit Judith Bennett, daughter of Joanne and Steven Bennett of Mosinee, completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.

Bennett is a 2012 graduate of Mosinee High School.

? Air Force Airman Hunter McCrory graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. McCrory is the son of Becky McCrory of Hatley.

He is a 2012 graduate of D.C. Everest Senior High School.

? Navy Seaman Recruit Jonathan Schultz, son of Wendy Dinges of Merrill and Mike Schultz of Iola, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.

Schultz is a 2012 graduate of Merrill High School.

? Lt. Danielle K. Fischer, critical care registered nurse and U.S., Navy officer recruiter from Schofield, is one of 16 Navy sailors accepted into the Graduate School of Nursing Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesia program at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. Fischer is stationed in El Segundo, Calif.

A 1999 graduate of D.C. Everest Senior High School, she completed her nursing degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was commissioned as a Navy officer in 2004. She was a nurse stationed at prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and served two years as an intensive care unit nurse at a Navy hospital in Okinawa, Japan. After combat trauma training, Fischer deployed to Afghanistan, where she served as the only American emergency medical technician and emergency room nurse on the base of 37 nations at International Security Assistance Force Headquarters in Kabul.

After multiple deployments and years living abroad, Fischer decided to return stateside and become a recruiter. Her mentor, Cmdr. Andrea Petrovanie, recommended the job because it would allow Fischer to share her unique experiences with potential recruits. Fischer currently serves as medical recruiter, mostly working with college graduates from dental, nursing and medical school.

? Navy Lt. j.g. Leah K. Jordan, daughter of Nancy and James Jordan of Weston, and other sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis arrived in Singapore for a scheduled port visit. This is the first port visit since they entered the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility after five months of operating in and around the Arabian Gulf.

The Stennis Strike Group, consisting of USS Stennis, Carrier Air Wing 9, Destroyer Squadron 21 and USS Mobile Bay (CG53), is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet AOR, conducting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts to support regional security and stability of the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

Jordan is a 2005 graduate of D.C. Everest Senior High School and joined the Navy in May 2009. She is a 2009 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., with a Bachelor of Science degree.

? Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Kyle N. Becker has graduated from the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Power School at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Goose Creek, S.C. Nuclear Power School is a six-month course that trains officers and enlisted students in the science and engineering fundamental to the design, operation and maintenance of naval nuclear propulsion plants. Graduates next undergo additional instruction at a prototype training unit before serving as a surface warfare officer aboard a nuclear-powered surface ship or as an electronics technician aboard a nuclear-powered submarine.

Becker is assigned to Naval Nuclear Training Command, Joint Base Charleston in Goose Creek, S.C. He is the son of James and Natalie Becker of Weston. He is a 2007 graduate of Northland Lutheran High School in Kronenwetter.
