Connect Inc., a nonprofit cancer concierge, will launch its spring fundraising and awareness campaign this week, placing plastic pink flamingos in yards around the metro area.

Participants can donate to Connect Inc. to have the flock of flamingos migrate to the next recipient. A form is included with the flamingos to designate the next recipient, preferably someone who will accept the flocking with the spirit in which it is intended.

Connect Inc. supports people with cancer by providing compassionate support. Staff and volunteers assess needs, prepare a confidential review, locate resources and help clients make informed, focused decisions. Services are free.

The organization is the idea of Michael Hermes of Hermes Law Ltd., his wife Kimberly Demeny and sister-in-law Jennifer Hickey. Hermes died of cancer in 2012.

For information, contact Connect Inc. at (920) 445-8992 or go to the office at 2360A Dousman St., Suite 2, Green Bay.
