Sheboygan fire investigation underway: An investigation has begun looking into an early-morning fire on Ashland Avenue in Sheboygan that left one person dead.

Authorities have identified the victim in this morning's early-morning apartment fire on the city's south side as 51-year-old Randi R. Hein.

The fire was reported at 1:43 a.m. at 1721 Ashland Ave.

Sheboygan Fire Chief Jeff Hermann said the fire was quick but created dangerous smoke and heat and could have been much worse. ...
