Students in Wausau schools are using cool new fitness equipment - bicycles, heart-rate monitors and rope challenge courses, for example - thanks to federal grant money aiming to help kids get and stay fit.

The Wausau School District is finishing up the second year of a three-year, $1.7 million Carol M. White Physical Education Program grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Education.
