A new version of the GED test will roll out Jan. 2. The new GED test will adhere to new education standards and shift to a solely computer-based format.

This presents a critical transition for those individuals who have started but not finished the current (2002 Series) GED tests.

Wisconsin alone has more than 43,000 adults who started but did not complete the 2002 Series GED tests to earn a high school completion credential.
