Sturgeon Bay: Bike rodeo planned May 11

A free bike rodeo to teach bike safety has been scheduled May 11 for children in third through seventh grades, sponsored by the Door County Silent Sports Alliance and Sturgeon Bay Police Department. It is geared for children in those grades but all ages are welcome.

Children will watch a video on bike safety, then learn with hands-on experience about the rules of the road, hand signals and safety. Helmet fittings and bike checks will also be completed.

The rodeos will take place at 9, 10:15 and 11:30 a.m., and 12:45 p.m. next Saturday. Space is limited to ...
