Amber Van Den Heuvel, 15, of Oconto was honored on April 20 for her efforts in establishing the Ride Oconto History bike trail, which incorporates six bike routes of varying lengths.

The routes extend from Copper Culture State Park on the west side of Oconto to the harbor on Oconto's east shore of Green Bay. All six routes include designated stops at historical sites including one national landmark, five historical markers and 28 sites on the National Register of Historic Places.

Approximately 60 attendees gathered at Copper Culture State Park to celebrate the dedication of the bike trail. ...
